How to resolve texture issues:
Once in a while, SL will do odd things to the textures on your avatar, including your skin. We've seen it all: everything from people's skins not changing, and images of their environment somehow getting baked onto their avatars, to avis going entirely pitch black.

While the solutions listed below are not absolutely 100% foolproof, they do have a really good success rate and we recommend you try these before filing a support ticket with Linden Lab:

===============
1) REBAKING TEXTURES
===============

We generally recommend you try rebaking textures first. This is the easiest and fastest solution.

In order for you to be able to rebake textures, you MUST have your "Advanced" menu enabled. It will appear in the upper left area of your client. You can toggle this menu off and on by hitting Ctrl + Alt + D simultaneously (this is known as a "hotkey").

Now that you have enabled the Advanced menu, you can rebake your avatar's textures. Follow this menu path: Advanced > Character > Rebake Textures. (You can also use the Ctrl + Alt + R hotkey to do this, but the Advanced menu must be turned on first.)

After you've rebaked your textures, you might see your avatar's appearance go blurry for a little while. This is normal. Once your textures are finished rezzing, hopefully you will see your appearance as it should be, without any problems.

If this doesn't work, you may want to try...

2) BAKING IN EDIT APPEARANCE MODE
=======================

Please note, it is -very- important that you remain in Edit Appearance mode the entire time while you do this!

a. Go into Edit Appearance mode.

b. While STILL in Edit mode, put on a non-Laqroki skin (if the problem is with your eye texture, put on a non-Laqroki pair of eyes).

You can use the default Linden skins/eyes you were born with. This will be in your Clothing > Female/Male Shape & Outfit folder.

If you've deleted this folder, scroll all the way to the bottom of your inventory list and look in the Library folder. You will see a subfolder called Clothing; look in there and choose any one of the skins/eyes in those default avatar folders.

3. Remain in Edit mode while you wait for the non-Laqroki item's texture to completely bake.

4. After your non-Laqroki skin/eyes are fully rezzed, replace the item by putting your Laqroki skin/eyes back on while STILL in Edit mode.

5. Remain in Edit mode until it appears that the Laqroki item has completely rezzed.

6. When the textures appear to be fully rezzed, it is okay to leave Edit mode. There is a good chance that your rezzed Laqroki texture will now hold.
